IAEA -Statement on Technical Cooperation
The International Atomic Energy Agency met in Vienna from 24.-26. November 2008 to discuss the Agency's technical cooperation programme activities. Many of these activities are helping developing countries.The Norwegian delegation consisted of Minister Counsellor Astrid Versto and First Secretaries Torkel Lindeland and Silje Vikoy. Ms. Versto made a statement in support of technical cooperation, emphasising that the IAEA needed to report more thoroughly on the developmental effects of the programme.
